once the iphone 2 starts selling in the middle of june, how long do you think it will be until someone finds out how to unlock it and put the program on the net?
Probably not long… people are paid to basically buy the iPhone the day it comes out then take it apart. So I'm assuming about 2-3 weeks. Your best bet though, if you're not already a Cingular customer, is to become one and just buy the iPhone. It will be announced on Monday (the 9th) and rumor has it that Apple will let Cingular give a discount with a two-year contract.

I think it would probably take less than a month for people to hack the iphone but the process of actually testing the software and stuff will sum it up to at least a month or more.
