Custom ringtones.

step 1

right click the song you want as a ringtone and select get info.

step 2

click on options and select start and end time to a no more than 40 second margin.

step 3

close window and convert the song to an aac file.

step 4

right click on the converted file and select display in finder, then delete the converted file from itunes, but select keep file

step 5

go to the file in finder and change the file name suffix to m4r, then keep m4r.

step 6

double click on the song in finder and it will appear in the ringtone section of itunes!

I was looking for a simpler browser for my iPod and found this file. Then I realised how simple it would be to mod my iPod using this. The next thing I may try is changing the “clicking” sound iPods are famous for.

In this video, I will show you how to modify and change iPod Touch and iPhone application icons.

1)Download the browser from http://code.google.com/p/iphonebrowser/downloads/list download the self installing on.
2)Download “wedict” from installer.
3)Copy the image you want to use into your desktop.
4)edit image to 60X60 PIXELS
5)Open the iPod/iPhone browser
6)connect your ipod or phone via usb
7)go to Applications/wedict.app
delete the file “icon.png” containing the original icon.
9)place 60X60 pixels picture into wedict.app
10)rename file “icon.png”
11)restart springboard or reboot ipod
12)send me $10 via paypal:) LOL
(unless you really want to)

NOTE: The icon image MUST BE 60X60 Pixels
When you rename the new picture for an icon, it must be exactly the same as the old. For example, “Photos” icon says icon-Photos.png. You must rename”image[6]” for example, icon-Photos.png. Anything else will not work.

This is a video that might be an aid to those including me who updated the iphone 3g to the new 2.2 firmware. My turbo sim stopped working after the update and i went hard to work to find a fix. Due to my research and study the people from any-network were the first to find a solution for apples new 2.2 firmware Baseband update. The reason why i am so confident in these guys is because they currently have the proof on there website. Ipnone 3g+Orange network+v2.2+baseband 2.28= unlock. The v3 sim was release today and i ordered it after doing a bit more research. I should receive the v3 chip in the next 3-4 days and would do a full test on the chip. I would post the result in a new video.

Steps:

2. Wait for your browser to ‘crash’ (it will close).
3. Continue to wait until your iPod Touch restarts (by itself). BE PATIENT!!
4. When you get the ‘Slide to Unlock’ prompt, unlock it.
