Download free music directly to your iPhone or iPod touch using dTunes

dTunes is a program released in Cydia which will allow you to search seeqpod.com and use the safari internet download plugin to download seeqpod’s streaming audio. (Search seeqpod.com to see the music that is available). Songs are downloaded as 192 kpbs mp3 files.
dTunes is its own media player as well so you will be able to play the music directly on your phone. However, if you want to sync the audio to your iPod you will have to access the file via SSH (the file is located in /var/mobile/Library/Downloads.)

no, they can’t track it. even if apple did track something like this they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it directly. They only have the rights to sell certain music and don’t actually own any copyrights.

yea too bad, try mewseek though, it just came out a few days ago in cydia. Its the new iSlsk and is P2P. It will have a much better selection than this.

You can fully …
You can fully customize your phone/ipod, free apps that are so great that appstore won’t even allow, plus nearly any appstore app for free. There really is just no question. If you’re not doing it because you’re scared… I have jailbroken mutliple phones with no problems (never even had to restore), and everyone one of those people I did it for said that they never wanted to have an unjailbroken phone again.

They have no Idea …
They have no Idea what they are talking about, restoring will fix it 100% of the time. And even if it didn’t and you somehow you were never able to turn on your phone again (which will never happen), you can take it back to the apple store and get a new phone for free, just say your phone is broken and wont turn on, they can’t tell for sure that its because of jailbreaking it if thats the case. But like I said, it just wont happen. Dont let your friend scare you. Jailbreaking is worth it.

No you can’t… if anything happens, iTunes has this thing called “restore”. There is absolutely zero chance of anything bad permanently happening to your phone due to jailbreaking.

you could try like… free . napster . com or use google to search for streaming music sites (as long as they aren’t live streams) I dont know how well this would would though, dTunes was made to work with seeqpod. Seeqpod is a search engine, so it should have a lot of what you would find from these other sites, although I admit its not everything

the current default video site is spikedhumor . com (haven’t really been able to get it to work well). I know the site dTunes used to use was tinytube . com, you could try that. Personally I just use mxtube for videos, as its just easier and will probably have more videos than anything you could access through dTunes

I could be wrong, but im pretty sure you can’t do that. apple has all sorts of restrictions on accessing the music library from anything other than iTunes. I personally haven’t tried it, but let me know if you have any success

Isnt there a way we can use Mobile Finder to copy the Downloaded song or move the downloaded song to our music folder to put it in our library? I just cant find out where the music dir is lol.
